A double lawn monument is a headstone or gravestone on a base, usually fixed to a concrete beam foundation.
Most cemeteries have designated lawn monument sections, for single or double lawn monuments, where only a headstone and base type design can be placed.
Some cemeteries will allow a headstone and base type design in a full monumental section. (These will require a concrete foundation to be constructed)
A double or single lawn monument can be made of granite, marble or sandstone. Inscriptions, photos and etchings can be added to lawn monuments.
